I put Blistine's on about a month ago, huge difference, awsome upgrade, but yesterday the driver's side rear is now leaking oil, I havn't been off roading or towing any thing since I put them on. Has anyone else had problems with short lifespane or is this just a isolated occurence?

Even good shocks can have the occasional defect come off the assembly line. Just return it and they will replace. I am assumining you have BILSTEINS and not some knock off named Blistines. If they are Bilsteins they should warranty the shock.

I have had mine on for about 2-3 months and no problem. I do agree they are a big improvment in the ride. Good luck.

While none of mine have leaked, according to Bilstein, some seepage is normal:

I noticed a little oil on my last set, I pulled one off and it was strong as ever. Cleaned them up and did not see anymore oil.

They are BILSTEINS, my spelling just sucks, after reading kenndy's link, I guess its normal, thank god for The Diesel Place, just saved me some labour and shipping. Thanks again!

This morring I backed out of the driveway and there was a 4.5inch size spot or shock oil on my driveway, when Bilstein FAQ sheet says some seepage is normal, how much is normal?

Im questioning that too, sounds like a loud of BS & Bilstein is just doing that to cover their ass because of bad seals in their shocks.
I noticed my LR shock leaking about a month ago, Ive cleaned it off numerous times & it keeps leaking.
How long is this going to keep up, until it runs dry?
I know it's not going to fix itself & stop leaking all of the sudden.
