If you have XM Radio, you can listen to your XM Radio on your computer, possibly at no cost. Here is the link to sign up: http://xmro.xmradio.com/xstream/login_servlet.jsp
Click on the create an account area for current subscribers. You will need your radio's ID (found on channel 0).
After you create an account, you can listen to your favorite music on line! ):h

Sirius has the same thing. Both services will be adding additional channels as time goes on.

I too was all pumped up when I found out you can listen online, until I actually heard the Lack of Sound quality. Way too garbled for listening to music however it seems ok on talk shows.

Be sure that you set it to high bandwidth if you have a high speed connection....It's under the setup menu...

I heard there's a way to get free XM if you drive out of your service area or something. I don't really know how XM works but it happened to one of my friends to his surprise. He was paying for the service then decided he didn't want it. Then he went on a road trip from northwest flordia and somewhere in alabama it started to work again and he's been getting it free of charge ever since. Maybe someone else here knows about it, I guess it's a common thing that XM has not been able to stop from happeneing.

Thanks! That settings button is pretty small in the bottom right corner. Apparently the default is Low Bandwidth. The higher sounds quite a bit better!:cool2:
