How much boost should a stock turbo put out? I just installed a boost/pyro combo(Isspro EV2) and noticed 35+ PSI on a couple half throttle runs.

Second question- Why do we need to monitor boost? I understand looking for leaks when there is a lack of boost. Why is it bad to have over-boost situations?

The stock turbo is out of its efficiency range above 32 psi. Anything above that it's just pushing hot air and not helping performance. It you overboost your turbo constantly it can cause premature failure.
