I need help guys. I cant decide what to run as a traction aid in the rear of my truck. It is/going to be a 98 CC LB SRW with a 400+ horse cummins 12valve dana 60 out front with a eaton true trac, lifted 6-7 inches on 35s. Its a daily driver, tow pig, everything truck. Its used in snow and ice lots too. My thoughts are a detroit locker might not be too bad because of my weight and wheelbase. Any input would be great thanx

I would go with an ARB. Driving on ice covered roads will be a an issue with the detroit but not a huge problem. Since your rebuilding the 60 front get the ARB for that as well. Pretty good deals out there now on two arbs with a free compressor.

You could go with an Ox locker up front w/ the 60 and not have to run air! No go on a 14 bolt ox locker unless you run a D60 rear too.

I love Detroit lockers on vehicles but they do have certain driving characteristics on slick surfaces that could be and issue for a street truck. I had one in a old Ford and loved it but most hate the way they drive on lifted street trucks. I would look into a selectable style locker.
