Maybe I'm just being overly nervous...but I have always been paranoid that one day I am going to be zooming along at 75 mph on the highway and reach across the cab for whatever reason and bump the column shifter into "3". I would never purposly do it, but what would happen? Would the RPM's instantly jump to 5000 and blow up my engine and tranny? Or would the TCM/ECM/BCM simply not allow a downshift at that speed? Im hoping its smart enough to do the latter and not allow a downshift until a safe speed is reached...

No. The ECM has a RPM limiter and will prevent that. It will go to the lowest gear possible without going above the limiter. And no you cannot have my SCIV.:grd:

heck, you can put it in first at 60mph, it will just downshift through the gears keeping itself from over reving.

Yes it will, tried it......great for tailgaters, almost as good as a 55 mph roll on in the Xtreme setting
