For a regular 2-wheel drive -non-lift Duramax, Can anyone tell me if Fabtech or any other aftermarket group makes a great replacement for just these parts and will they fit the other OEM components. I would prefer to not go back with the OEM parts based on what I've seen and experienced.
Thanks Ken

Ken,
I went with Moog replacement parts and the Cognito stabilizer kit from John.

Get the super diesel center link, and you don't have to replace them. Yet you will also have a better center link for 4x4 launches etc...

Thanks guys, from my research it sound like an upgrade to the cognito pittman and idler arm stabilizers will go a long way to fix the situation. Even if I do not replace the old parts. About a 200$ solution. --Ken

Kwilson-(I'm not trying to pimp Superdiesel), but for $500 you can get tie rod sleeves and a center link that will do everything you ever wanted to do.

SethMckinney,
I don't understand, I do not have a 4x4. Even with the kit you describe, would I still not have the same problems with the Idler and Pittman arm?--Ken

Moog makes alittle heavier steering arms & the supports will be fine for your truck.
If you were going to race the truck, use the centerlink.
Fabtech makes some good stuff, but their intended for lifted 4x4s.

The new centerlink puts the idler/pitman arms in a position where they are not strained. It puts them in a more efficient position. I took my cognito support kit off to install his link and sleeves. However, do what feels comfortable. Just trying to give you another option. Take care.
