We own a 1993 Chevy 3500 with a 6.5L. The transmission has very hard shifts and will not shift into over drive. I have been reading up and I started with the TPS and the voltage is all correct but when I read the ohms from the middle wire it would not drop under 2.00. Some times it does shift and some times it doesn't PLEASE help I am up for all suggestions. THANK YOU

There are two bolts that hold the TPS. Loosen them and adjust to .5. Try that. 2 volts is way too much.
You want get 5.0 volts from the power going into the TPS.

I adjusted it all the way to the lowest setting and 2 was the lowest amount I could get. Thank you

I have a 1995 6.5td suburban
I have to 'slowly' put it into overdrive. In other words, get it up to speed, take the foot off the gas peddle a bit, throw it into OD, then slowly accelerate again or the OD acts like it is in neutral. Once in OD, I can accelerate and nothing seems to feel like neutral or slipping.
Could this be the TPS?
Where is it located on my truck and what settings should it be set to?
THanks all
