Well, I built my first Allison back around Christmas. It was the SCIII 1056 for my '05. As you can tell it's gone now:(, but I talked to Jim that owns it now. He's added some EFI tuning from a place in Ohio that I can't think of the name....:confused: Anyway, he put it on the dyno and it's throwing down nearly 500hp and around 880 tq!! Thats on 37's with stock gears :eek: I was so excited to hear this! I BUILT that trans and he said it is a freakin blast to drive!!
I'd love to be able to start building them regularly, but it's hard without having your own shop and a reputation built up already. But, i've done 3 other Allison's since then. 2 stock replacements and 1 more SCIII. They aren't running any big tunes though. The guy that I put the SCIII in had a Hypertech programmer. 2 of the guys are local and are pulling strong!
I still have a long way to go before I am even remotely close to the rep of Mike L or others but it's a good start! Plus I love doing it!

Haha! Thanks for the thought man! But you aren't TOO awful far from Mike. Hell, it's 3k miles for me and I thought real hard about going!
