Justin at Black Bear just finished up his custom tune for my truck, set for 91 octane, using the collected data I sent him for analysis.
I've installed the new PCM and sent in the check data and he's responded that my fuel delivery is now spot on but that he's also seeing a lot of timing reduction at WOT.
My question is this: what should be my first point of interest? I bought the truck used from a consignment dealer about 5 months ago, so I don't have any real history on it. Mileage is about 125k now.
I'm thinking maybe a top end clean may be in order...could be a problem with excessive carbon buildup. I've already run about 4 oil changes through her using synthetic all the way. She runs and idles very smooth and seems to have a ton of power, but it sounds like I may be leaving some on the table here.
