Hey guys I am looking at a 2003 GMC 3500 with the 6.6, and was wandering what transmisson is in the truck, and if there any good. Because if there not I will just hold off till I find an 2004 with the 6 speed

Wasn't the six speed more like 2006 and up?? Not sure myself, but I seem to recall it was just before the NBS.

Allison 5 speed '01 to '05
Allison 6 speed '06 up
and yes, the Allison in the '03 is a great tranny unless of course the truck you're looking at has been dogged with power adders or improperly maintained....

Agreed and an FYI incase you were asking, all Dmaxes have Allisons

i dont really see why you would want a manual trans. dont get me wrong its pretty bad ass but i just dont see the potential compaired with the allison. The ZF is pretty rare to find so it wouldbe kinda cool. What is your reason for wanting it?
