Seems to be a great truck.

2002 Chevy 2500HD SLE 4x2 CC SB D/A White

Under 12,000 miles.

Here is a link to the Vin Check:

http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/showthread.php?t=37210 (http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/showthread.php?t=37210)

I have seen 56 pictures of it, inside and out and they all look perfect.

They are here:

The thing is not even broken in. Any worries on a truck of this vintage? Any problems with almost never being driven? From all the reading and research I have done, a like new LB7 may be just as good or better as a new LLY.

Just wondering what you all thought of the truck, and what you think it may be worth. I have looked at the online price guides, (Edmunds, KBB, and NADA) and they range from $23K to $29K. Any opinions would be appreciated.

It is at Jennings Anderson Ford, which looks to be NW of San Antonio, TX. Anyone in the area, and willing to take a look at it for me?

Better yet, anyone in the area and willing to go buy it so I can quit thinking about it?

Thanks in advance…

Nice looking truck. I would be curiouse whythe truck is on a dealers lot rather than being sold outright by the owner. Lots of readers here in the area so someine might volunteer to go look at it. I would but I have eye surgery schedyled in anothe 1 1/2 hours. Good luck.

I personally would rather have an 02 with higher miles. not saying anything is wrong with the truck but burning oil is better than sitting oil

Very nice truck. I'd buy it if the truck checked out mechanically by an independant shop, the price was right and I didn't have an 02 I already love. The warranty extension on injectors for 01 and 02 trucks should give lots of piece of mind. BTW mine is at 142,000mi and runs great. Get a shop to check for leaks at the transfer case, wheel bearings, excessive smoke at idle. Good luck.

"I would be curiouse whythe truck is on a dealers lot rather than being sold outright by the owner."

Story is that it was traded in on an '05 F250 PSD.

Thanks for all the replies. Keep them coming...

That is what i paid for my 02 cc sb 4wd with 39k on it. I bought it about 3 months ago. I would say go for it. that isnt going to be a truck that hangs out too long...

Also i would suggest that you go to carfax.com and run it there. that will tell the real truth about the miles and how many owners it has had. Its like 20 bucks to run it but that is very minimal compared to the 26 grand you are going to spend on the truck..

Offer them 24,500 and that should take it. Sounds like a good deal. The warranty for injectors is 7 years and 200K. Keep us posted.

If it was me, I would definately contact the previous owner and get the complete history. My big question is why so little mileage on a '02?

Looks to be a nice clean truck.
I would be a little leary buying a used truck right now, this "employee pricing" will have to put a glut of used trucks on the market and drive the price down.
I believe that you could buy that truck new (right now)for 32 to 34 grand.

one other thing....Look at the pricing on "Ebay".
It seems like the market has already taken a huge hit, there is only one Duramax listed with a bid over 20 grand, there are several with "buy it now" under $20,000!!!

That is where I found it originally. It didn't meet the ridiculous reserve of $28,900.

Thanks for the replies. If it were 4X4 I would be more comfortable with the price. Resale could be tough in a few years on a 4x2 here in Nebraska.

Well looking at the pictures the first thing that strikes me is how clean the uncerside is. And how much rust is on some parts. I know that it is just surface rust, but an '02 truck with less than 15,000 miles on it and that clean and in Texas, would make me think that it was in some sort of flood damage or somthing like that.
I would look very close at the axle fluids and bearrings, the tranny fluids, and possibly the main seals.
My concerns could be for not, but it looks to clean to be an '02. And why are there less than 15,000 miles on it. I have 15,000 miles on my '02 but I only drive it one week a month.
Another concern is the two piece drive shaft. These have been a problem for a lot of people.
$24,000 would be a good price for both sides as long as there were no issues like I mentioned.
Up here in 2002 there were two, brand new at the time, 2 wheel drive cc long bed '02 trucks fully loaded that they could not get rid of due to the 2 wheel issue. They had them marked down to $28,000 at the dealership.
