Hi,
I am new to the diesel world as I just purchased my first one last week. I bought an '05 2500HD CC SB. I am wanting to upgrade the exhaust. I was talking with a local muffler shop and the guy was telling me by removing the cat, I would reduce MPG to about 8-9 in town. Everything I have read says otherwise. He told me to just delete the muffler and add straight pipe. I mainly use my truck as a daily in the city, but I also have a fifth wheel trailer I pull sometimes. I want a better sound, not too loud, but throaty. What would yall recommend? TIA!
Brian
