I have a 2002 3500HD Dually with the Duramax with 67,000 miles. Absolutely no problems so far but I am getting worried about the potential for injector problems. I am thinking of trading for a new 2010 2500HD with a Duramax but do the new engines still have injector problems?? What other problems should I expect with the new truck? At 63 years old I want this next purchase to be my last. Only drive about 10 - 15K per year.

As far as I know there are no injector problems with the newer trucks just all the emission crap that kill your fuel mileage.
Why spend $40k on a new truck when new injectors in your already paid off truck would be about $3600.00?

In another 7 years you'll have 134k miles on it and will just be into its breaking in period.

My injectors started going bad in my truck around 170k miles. Had then replaced about 4k miles ago.
