I have heard the bad stories but has anyone put these injectors in and had them work?

I have used the glow plugs from them and they are doing fine!

They can't be all garbage, can they? how could they keep selling them?

Just wondering. I have over 100k on my truck and I am sure that I will be replacing them at some point.

Are you referring to Pensacola Remans....if you want to do the job over and over again and then hope you can get 60k to 100k miles out of them you can only try it yourself. Personally I wouldn't want to do that over and over again. They offer a warranty on parts but not labor....

They will cover the injector and will supply the copper sealing ring and O-ring, but as for the banjo seals and such you're on your own. All I will say is that courtesy of Pensacola diesel I had to borrow a vehicle to go on my honeymoon as my BURB was POURING out blue smoke and they were too busy blaming it on my engine instead of just getting me replacement injectors. And of course having to borrow money from teh in-laws so I could get my replacement set of injectors from GM due to all the Pensacola hassles was nice as well:mad:.

I am too far into it to turn back now because I had already torqued down my Pensacola "Remans" when I saw all these posts about them. I thought I had done all my homework on injectors before I started, but apparently not enough. I do feel like they misled me since I specifically asked if all the internal parts were changed out and the newest updated versions installed and they said yes. If you search this topic you will find only Bosch dealers have access to those parts. I hope to have everything finished up on mine in a day or two and I guess I'll either be going to play the lottery immediately or I'll have another horror story to add to the long line.

I shipped mine back based off of to many people telling me NOT to use them. When I received mine they looked like they were pulled out of a truck and shipped to me!! I'd pull them out and send them back IMO! I had to pay a 10% restock fee though. Better than what happened to thefermanator. His story is the main reason a sent them back. Good luck!

Well against my better judgement I went ahead and completed the job with the Penn Remans. Not saying that they'll last 100,000 miles, but at least it started. I started to get scared because it wasn't wanting to fire, then I cracked the bleed screw again after cranking it and it finally took off. I'm just hoping the Blind Hogs sent me their acorn. After having a set in my hands and hearing about how the Bosch and GM injectors are so clean and all the parts are changed, I would never go down this road again just to save a couple hundred bucks.

Sorry for the long delay, but yes they were kind of dirty. And by the way, if you notice the date and that I have put 3,100 miles on them, I am waiting on my dad to come get me so I can go get my truck that just popped one of those injectors just as I got to work yesterday morning. Now begins the fight I assume with pensacola.

I got a set from them based on the money, THEN found out everyone is having problems with them. installed and had a miss right off the bat. Pulled them, re-checked everything, reinstalled and still had the miss. Called them and sent the set back for warranty inspection. Got them back, and haven't had a chance to get them in. If I still have a miss or any problem, they go back and I get a set from someone else.

I did record all the numbers from them- I'll see if they just turned them around or did in fact change them.

I was just reading another thread about where to buy injectors and after reading all the MANY threads on penn I know for sure I won't be looking in there direction for them. No need in putting bad injectors in for bad injectors.

TimAT did you send them all back or just the one or ones you had trouble with?
