Does anyone have a picture of an installed Putnam XDR on a newer Chev? I would really appreciate this. Also, would like to see how the wiring was handled.

Thanks.

These aren't the best, but I did have them already on the computer for a friend who was setting up his Equal-i-zer hitch for the same trailer I have.

Hope it helps.

Like I said in the other thread of your's here, Hoppy makes a GM plug that connects right to the factory tow harness behind the bumper. I just drilled and tapped into the plate under the bumper to mount it. WalMart has the Hoppy plug.

You can see a picture of my installed Putnam XDR here (not the greatest, but what I have at the moment) (if you need some other pics, I can take some)--

What I did was cut the bracket off of the factory gm hitch and take a piece of angle and bolted the bracket to it and then bolted that to the bumper so that I had the complete factory bracket and harness and did not have to mess with anything else. Has worked perfect for almost a year now.

Just remember when going from the factory receiver to the Putnam, that the pin box is located about 2" higher from the ground (box is closer to bottom of the bumper) so that you may need to adjust your drawbar heights to maintain level on the trailers.

Thanks for the pictures. Sprintmod, nice lights under the bumper, almost the same setup I have.
