im looking to make a set of traction bars for my truck for drag racing and pulling. i was looking for help on what size tube to get and proper length to make them. i was thinking about 5.5feet long and use 1 1/4 .180 wall tube. any suggestions?

I would make them 60" or longer and 1 1/2 .120 wall tubing.

FWIW 5.5 ft is 66"

i was thinking re-thinking it and i will probaly make them 6' and use .120 wall. should i go 3/4 or 1 inch heims?

I used 3/4 on mine, but if you go 1" it will be that much strong. Both sizes will work fine in my opinion.
