Installed my Extreme this weekend. Now I know what everyone is talking about. Old HJAT does not come close. Smoke, man I thought I used to smoke pretty good at will; this thing is unreal. Talk about twitchy; it is going to take me a little bit to get used to the new throttle sensitivity. Amazing how quickly a 7500 pound pig of a truck can jump around.
Even though the tranny (SC IV) was used to the 150 HJAT setting, new Extreme setting blew right through it. It is starting to get used to the power now.
Well worth the wait!
Steve, one question though. Whats with the instructions that have you go through three non-start key cycles 10 minutes apart, before she will fire. Freaked me out when it fired up immediately, rather than just cranked. Not that I am complaining, but not what I expected after reading the instructions.
Now to get that red bottle Super Diesel sent me a while back installed. I can not imagine what that is going to be like.

Asked Steve this same question as it happened to me too.:exactly:
Just fired right up :ro)
He said he has a new code in the computer that works for most trucks to fire right up, but some may not, so he has the instructions for them just in case.
If it runs it's good to go.
When mine fired right up I thought I put my stock computer right back in again :wtf1:
I had to go double check on the work bench to see which was still sitting there

Diesel Dragon, I did the same thing. Went back and double checked that I had actually swapped the ECM.
Drove in the rain yesterday. That is going to take some getting used to. I don't want to go down in level when it rains, as the tranny seems to be still learning the extra power (especially the 1-2 shift; really slides through that one!). Hate to have to experience tranny relearn anymore than I have to. I will just work on driver relearn for driving in the rain on Extreme.
Back to smoke. I have had people actually stop, some pull over, and others turn on their wipers. This thing can create some smoke; it can turn an intersection black!
I was behind a Dodge pulling a light weight lawn trailer last night while going to get somethig to eat, and he saw me behind him and started puffing a few light puffs. Wife asked what was up, and was he doing that for me. When I had his attention, I let out a little smoke (I was still behind him); no more smoke from him. Kids thought it was "fun".
I hate to see what it is doing to the bottom of the rear quarter panel. Bumper is black line-x, so I don't have to worry about that.
Extreme life is good!

Having people try to dodge the smoke is the greatest:D

Converter is supposed to be the latest and greatest triple disc from Joe, as of two months ago. As I understand it, somewhere in between the triple he had been selling for a while, and the tight one he had developed recently that was determined to perhaps be too tight.
I am going to have to learn to better control the smoke.

Isnt it funny how they dodge the smoke like its a brick wall! I had this one older man riding my a$$ and the instant it puffed a little smoke he dropped back maby 20 truck lengths. good times!
