Installed my cognito leveling kit stg 3 a few weeks ago, and set the front almost exactly 1/2" lower than the rear. now after a few weeks it has dropped 1/4-1/2".

how can i prevent this?

I've had to re adjust my torsion bars twice since I lifted my truck and it's only been lifted for about two months

I would re-adjust to the first stance the truck was aligned at. We have seen some trucks drop alittle and then we adjust like Sledheadxp800r said.

well i readjusted thursday evening, when i went to crank the drivers side torsion bar, i got about 1/2 crank and it was done. the passenger side i got about 1 full turn. i finally got the front 1/2" lower than the rear, and it really seemed to throw my alignment out. my tires kind of looked "leaning in". (tops in, bottoms out).

so i got an alignment friday after work, and drove about 450 miles or so this weekend to western MD, and again they seemed to have settled again.

any other ideas? do i need other keys maybe?

Are your jounce bumpers engaged with the LCA?

it's the bump stop that limits the up travel of the suspension. It's located between the lower control arm and the frame

This yellow bump stop...

and how do they have to be engaged?

they will not be touching the lower control arms if you have the front cranked up.

they sre not touching...is that a bad thing?

the front has settled down again and is about an inch lower than the rear.

Should i try to jack the truck up, crank the t-bars all the way down, drive it around a little, then re-crank them back up and see if i can get it set at teh original 1/2" lower in the front stance?

well there is a couple things here. No its not a bad thing that they are not touching as the leveling kit you have was designed for the LCA to not touch the bumpstop.

next, How are you checking your ride height? are you on level ground? have you tried backing up and seeing if you gain height? If your gaining height when you back up your alignement is off and is causing your front end to be pulled down (tires are toed out)

I also hope you are jacking the front end off the ground before adjusting your torsion bars. if not its very easy to break a bolt off due to the load on the bolt.

i have been measuring my height from the lip on the center cap of my wheel to the bottom of the plastic fender flare. I have checked, all 4 tire presures are the same, and the measurements are on level ground.

i will have to check the backing up thing, as i have not done that.

and yes, i jack up the truck when i cranked them
