in this kind of weather my engine usually runs right around 200 F but often gets up to 210 F on the highway, especially if on an incline or driving 55-60 mph for a long time, which is about as fast as it goes. When the temp hits 210 F is that getting to a point where it is not good for the engine?
thanks,
Paul

The diesel mechanic that converted my '78 K5 to a 6.2 said not to get worried till it started to push up and over 225' I used to run a steady 210ish when working the hills or in very hot humid weather. You can check the radiator to see if the ends of the tubes are all cruddy with deposits, might be time to have the radiator replaced or power flushed, did it not used to run this hot, or has it always been like this?
