'05 LLY/Ally 2500HD 4x4 Regular Cab Long Box.
Picked it up in Butte Thursday, had the Leer/Browning installed and drove it home yesterday and today. By hand: 11.8mpg on first 1/2 tank, putting around town and a short drive through a mountain pass - break in miles. 15.5 on first full tank, and 17mpg on 8.3 gallons in a short blast. Running empty and 70-75mph except when passing everything in sight.
Temp at 210 constant. Trans got to 190 in the twisties on the Salmon River but cooled quickly with a sight-seeing stop and hung about 170 the rest of the time.
Wednesday will tell the story when I load up the camp trailer (22') and yank it up the same route. Will hit altitudes of 7200' a couple times and weather reports for Idaho are 100*+. :eek: Will never be lower than 4000'.
I might put my MTR 265/75-16s on before I go. Just need center caps for my aluminum wheels that came off the old 'burb.
What's the width of the stock aluminum wheels (6.5 or 7")?
