I waxed the '03, 3500 yesterday and found three blisters on the front chrome bumper. I didn't really expect the chrome to go that fast. I saw a replacement online for $205. I wonder how long that chrome would last. Any ideas?

I see that no one responded to my post. Does that mean that nobody else has any problem with the chrome on the front bumper? That's pretty good if I am the only one with the problem. I take good care of my truck too.

Must be nice, the bumpers on my 08 started flaking off after only two years. Cheap plastic crap. I just replaced them with a pair of tdk offroad bumpers. The warranty would have covered the chrome caps, but why replace it with something that will just do the same.

All ranting aside, you may get lucky and find a member on here looking to unload theirs. As far as the replacement you found, without knowing the manufacturer or new/used it's a crap shoot with chrome.

My 05 had 3 spots on the bumper that will show rust. Your not the only one. 205 bucks eh. I keep might cleaned and polished, but it would be nice to have a bumper that wouldn't rust.

My 08 is doing the same thing. The dealer told me only the paint was covered. My response was that it looks like chrome is paint so it should be covered. I lost so bought a new one.

this has happend to my rear bumper. but it comes with a kindy funny story. the other day i was washing and waxing the truck and my gf was over. she asked what she could do so i went and got my can of "never dull". it comes in a silver can and the stuff inside is kinda like cotten with a yellow tent. well its made to polish crome and things like that. well i gave it to her and asked if she wanted to polish the rear bumper. she said alright and got to it. mind you that the rear bumper looked pretty bad. the spots beside the lisence plate was the worse. well after awhile i walked back there to see how she was doing and that "never dull" took all the rust off! i couldnt believe it. so if u want you can go to a place like auto zone or advance auto parts and see if they carry "never dull"
