Hey guys, I have VVME 6k HID's in my lows and fogs. And anyone with this kit knows how they do not send you a connector to plug in to the stock female end, just those little pins you are supposed to stick in and then tape.. Well that whole setup was giving me problems and i would have to wiggle it around to get the HID to come on. So I figured a good fix to the problem would be to cut off the stock connection and just hard wire the HID to the stock wires. Well it worked for a little while but now it looks like I have a smoked bulb in that light. I am wondering if there is a resistor in that connector I cut off?? Or do I just have bad luck?

I am pretty sure it is the bulb because it is all smokey looking and hazy inside that little round part. Its nice and clear on my other one that works. This is whats keeping me from blaming my problem on a bad ballast.

Let me know what you guys think the problem is and if there is a better way to connect those wires other than jamming the pins in the stock one. My working side is now acting up and I have to mess around to get it to come on. I am afraid to hard wire it yet because I do not want to blow another bulb.

There isn't a resister in the plug so you probably smoked a bulb with all the wire jiggling. To check the ballast you could try swapping the bulbs.

H10 fog light plug will plug right into the 9006 connector.
