Having major trouble finding an air cleaner for my 1992 Chevy c3500 6.2L Diesel. Factory part has been discontinued. looking for something easy for the moment but will consider after market. please help!:confused: engine I bought was everything minus the dang air cleaner!!!!! looking for places that would sell the entire housing and hose! Any junk yards in your area that might have something?

auto wreckers or someone that has converted to a turbo. there wouldn't be anything aftermarket unless you made up some sort of piping yourself and added a filter to it

Have checked all junkyards within 300 miles of home. any ideas on building one?

you'd have to find something that would seal/bolt to the intake. then use plastic plumbing pipe to an airfilter

Any Ideas on what would seal/bolt to the intake? sorry have no clue with these things total newb. and could a airbox from a 6.5L work with the plastic tubing?

If you can't find anything at all,you could use the complete intake manifold from a 6.5 turbo engine and get a aftermarket conical air filter to go on the end of it.

Might get you out of a jam until you find the proper setup.

i know one person on here *cub124?* removed his stock airfitler housing, built a nice presure chamber then run a hose off of it over to his front fender then jammed a conical filter on it. so you could build one of those, or call him and see if hes still got the housing.

if you cant find one i have a couple of factory air filter housings bracket and silencer too if needed...

I think we have the same problem. I really don't know where to find that air cleaner. If I would find some answer, I will post it here. I will wait for the other member to answer that problem. :confused:

i know of one here in a local yard, no1 around here has a 6.2 anymore so they dont bother with it. how much are you willing to pay for a filter assembly?

im still kinda new to diesel place but when i was puttin the intake manifold and plenum off of a 6.5 on my na 6.2 i thought that looked like a bad ass intake! i would guess put a cone filter on the plenum and it would be a pretty sweet cold air type intake! what do yall think about this?
