Just received my Autometer fuel rail press gauge:D Includes harness and no hookup instructions :confused: Will be adding it to my triple pillar gauge setup (pyro and boost) Harness has plug connector for gauge and pigtails at other end.
I do not wish to splice it into fuel rail harness. Checked Autometer site and could not find a plug in harness for my LLY. I have seen the fuel rail pressure gauge harness from PPE.
My question is,will the PPE harness work for my setup from the Autometer gauge harness to my fuel rail harness in my LLY :confuzeld

:welcome: Maybe i could splice into my fuel rail pressure sw connector
but do not wish to. Somebody out there in Dmax land must have a fuel rail pressure gauge setup :coolio:
Any such setup available like a piggy back connector :think:
Anyone using the PPE fuel rale pressure sw harness for there gauge :truck:
I talked to a tech at PPE, he really did not nail down my question about using there harness on my Autometer :confuzeld

OK, OK :bangdesk: I did E-mail the Autometer tech help. They did reply today, w/ the instructions for wiring up the meter, which I downloaded a copy. I will go w' there instructions by splicing 2 wires into the factory harness near the fuel pressure sw connector :driver: :thankyou2

I just installed that same gauge a couple weeks ago. I took the pigtail harness right out of my lbz and cut and spliced outside of the engine and bolted it back in. You might run into the wire colors being wrong on their chart, I did but traced it back far enough in the harness and found the correct colors and then adjusted for the different colors.

xtremebikr, I see your LBZ wire colors at the sensor should be the same as mine (LLY) according to Autometer. They indicate: purple wire (signal) from gauge goes to Yellow of pressure sensor connector.
Blk from gauge (ground) goes to orange/black wire of press sen.
Do you recall what wires you tapped into?

I tapped into the wires for the lmm colors, because at the sensor i didnt have the colors the chart said i should have had. When tracing it back into the harness the lmm colors at the sensor changed to the lly/lbz colors.

As per Autometer instructions: Purple from gauge to yellow of fuel rail press sw conn. Black wire from gauge to Or/Blk of press sw conn. I used female "t" taps (22-18 GA.) on the connector wires and spade lugs on the gauge wires and the gauge works :RockOn:
