: Complete front suspension upgrade ?

I'm having problems with my front suspension. Just the other day I dropped my front driveline while on a dirt road. I have now replaced the u-joints and bolted it back up. Upon further inspection, it looks as though my upper ball-joints are shot now too. I figure after 120,xxx miles, it's time to replace some parts. I don't know what the previous owner had replaced, if anything. I'm considering the Cognito upper control arm kit, a new set of tie rods(not sure which brand), idler/pitman arm and the Cognito support kit, as well as Cognito idler box and brace. This should be a pretty stout front end correct ? If I do end up going with all those parts, that's a pretty expensive shopping date. Is there something I can replace first instead of buying all those parts at once ? Or should I just buck up and do it all at the same time ? Any input is helpful. Thanks

its easier when you have it all apart of course, the UCA's incorporate a bolt in Ball joint, unlike the factory pressed in one.

Yeah, I like the idea of the bolt in ball joint. Do you think I really need the Cognito idler box and brace ? In an effort to save some money, I'm wondering if it's really necessary. Thanks again.

Its not really "necessary", but with larger tires, it a good idea. Especially if you have over 120,000 on the stock unit. Assuming, that is, that those larger tires have been on the rig for awhile.

wheel bearings
bushings
Upper UCAs (replace with Cognito)
Lower ball joints
Pitman and idler arm (also add Cognito support kit)
Cognito HD tie Rods.
Cognito extended sway bar end links

That is what I would do.
