Yesterday I went and washed the truck and decided to take off some of the stickers I had on the back window.........peeled em off and used a green scotch brite pad on the glass.......also used it on the front widshield to get the bug junk off...well after I dried everything off, the back window had these scratch marks on it where I applied pressure to get the sticker goo off. the front windshield has light scratches all over it.....ive used green pads before and this hasnt happened any ways to fill the scratches??????

I did that to the Z06 to remove racing numbers once.

Windshield is $2000, special lightweight glass with HUD film.

I'd be interested in a solution as well. :(

Any local glass shop that replaces windshields will be able to get you a light polish that will take these scratches out, as long as they arent too deep. Might have to try a few as most wont tell you about your options.......they are trying to sell windshields ya know. I worked in a glass shop as a kid and for the life of me i cant remember the name of it but i know its out there.

I know you can on windshields, but it's a no no on the other windows. I have a lot of scratches on my windows from playing in the mud and I might take a polishing wheel to them before I try to sell my Blazer.

If you have access to a rotary buffer and know how to use it, you can use Meguiars #2 to buff minor out minor scratches. Don't use a random orbital buffer. Back in my detailing days I used to buff all of the windows on a vehicle when doing an exterior. It works great.

Bon Ami also works well for buffing windows, but I don't think it is enough to get scuff marks out. It also requires LOTS of elbow grease.

When removing anything from the windows, always (and very carefully) use a razor blade. It won't scratch the windows and does a great job. If you are nervous you can always spray a little windex on the area you are working.

I have a three step product that I found on the web, it works great on scratches in glass. I can't remember the name, when I get to my shop I will dig it out and post the name.

Go to www.janvil.com

I used thier products when I was in the aviation business.
