I have been thinking of doing a muffler on my truck. One brand that keeps coming into mind is the Flo-Pro and their 2505 HD big oval muffler http://www.flopro.com/FP2500oval.htm. Why I keep eyeing it is because it is a direct fit muffler. Has anyone had experience with this (or another HD big oval in the lineup)?

Thanks very much!

I test drove a 6.0 with one of those mufflers, and no cab drone at all and it sounded good at the tailpipe! I would definately pull the trigger!!

Does it flow any better than a stock muffler. It it looks like stock and fits where stock goes, then I would wonder if it flows any better. Is there any data that supports the flow, or is it just for sound.

I have found after messing with many of these trucks that there is no performance gain from an aftermarket exhaust. They just sound better. I put them on mine and it sounds better, but didn't do anything for mpg or power.

They "claim" a 25hp gain but I dont believe that one bit. I was eyeing the 2505 specifically because I would like some more noise out of the truck. I would rather drop this in than do true duals (which doesnt seem hard to do at all) or straight pipes.

Did you ever put the flo-pro muffler on? I want to put some dual exhaust on mine and i was wondering if you were happy with it.
