it takes 2.5 gallons of oil. your operators manuals should tell you how. most of the grease fittings are on the steering components near the wheel (under the truck) .. good luck

Good Deal Thanks for the help

I looked in the Diesel supplement but I could not see the amount of oil. I am going to use rotella for now and then maybe look at amsoil in the future

it's like every other engine ever made. Pull the drain plug, change the filter, reinstall the plug and fill it. 2.5 gal (10 qts). 11 grease fittings total.

Hi sdeters,

I had to get a special "Articulating Tip" for my grease gun, just to reach 2 or 3 of the Zerts up in the steering gear. Could not get to them with a standard straight tip.

Moved to Maintenance & Fluids.

Assuming you have 4wd, 11 grease points. IIRC, 2wd has 7.

You don't have an LB7, you either have an LLY, or LBZ. Just trying to help you out.

Sorry Bout posting this in the wrong Forum. Yes I have a LBZ sorry for miss typing. Thanks for Showing the pics of all of the grease certs. That really helps me narrow them down. Off to buy an oil filter and oil. I will have to see how my small grease gun will work out.

Thanks again
