I'm technically a Chevron employee, though I work on their ships not in the product area, but on the ships we try to exclusivly use Chevron products, and I have been very impressed by the synthetic diesel oil we use, Delo 400 LE Synthetic SAE 5W-40 (API CJ-4)... the issue is that there are no Chevron dealer anywhere near Maine... does anyone know where I can buy it and have it shipped?

nearest one is in Rhode Island, I sent them an email without response yet... and they seem like a "bulk" outfit, but we'll see. Major truck stops... not around Maine. I was hoping to be able to order from a store online.

Retail locator has every major auto supply listed including Wal-mart.

I'm sure you could order it if it isn't stocked.

Well I searched online and both Napa and Advance Auto only carry the Dino 15-40, not and the store would have to order it for me. Does the 5-40 syn even exist? lol

I haven't seen there syn anywhere that I can think of. There dino is a great oil I ran it for 16K without changing it and it was still good per UOA. If you want a easy to get syn thats good use Rotella T syn.

I've found Pep Boys has the biggest selection of oils for diesels. Local NAPA has the smallest selection.

Look for Delo oil at Costco. It comes in three / one gallon box. Wait till they have a coupon for $5.00 off and then it cost $9.00 / gallon. The limit is 5,
but that last till it is on sale again. :D
