: Another Happy Cognito Camper...
Unit453 05-30-2010, 05:14 PM Its been a month but I'll post some pics, none the less.
Nick's got great service and good prices.
I should've gone with a 6" from day one instead of fooling around with a leveling kit.
BF 315 AT's. A good step up from my old 285's.
Truck rides good...
socal2ks 05-30-2010, 07:47 PM Very nice!
Do you happen to know the roof measurement?
I too have the leveling kit, however I have heard the ride offered by the 4-6 is no comparison to a maxed out leveling kit.
Unit453 05-30-2010, 08:41 PM You want me to measure from the top of the roof to the ground?
I liked my leveling kit. I liked it a lot actually. I just wanted more and more as time went on. Like I said, I should've bought a lift kit from day 1.
mmangels22 05-30-2010, 08:48 PM Looks good man I am sure you will love it for a while.
socal2ks 05-30-2010, 08:48 PM Yeah if u ever happen to have a tape measure near your truck that would be cool. My garage opening is 83 inches right now.
Unit453 05-30-2010, 08:53 PM Looks good man I am sure you will love it for a while.
Thanks.
I need a Mike L trans cooler now. Temps run quite a bit higher.
kurtfromct 05-30-2010, 09:25 PM looks beast

Your truck looks great....With that said I guess the 315's fit perfect with the 6" lift? I'm getting a lift soon and would like to run 315's on a set of H2's that I have....Just want to be sure they're going to fit....Also you mentioned your tranny temps are up....is that because of the larger tires??
wreedLBZ 05-31-2010, 12:22 PM Very nice. Who did the work?
Unit453 05-31-2010, 01:51 PM 315's fit nicely. I have no rubbing...Yet anyways....My wheels are a 16x8 and I've already trimmed the shit out of my front air dam.
I had a local shop get me the rubber and do the install. It cost me $1600 out the door for 4 tires, mounting, balancing, labor of putting the kit on and an alignment. No complaints from this end.
Trans temps have gone up 20-30 degrees in running around town. I also lost some low end beans but I know its from the bigger tires. It's definitely not as snappy as before. Such is life though. I'm assuming the tires have everything to do with the trans temps higher.
Copter, now I just need this truck to be featured on Nick's website..!:D
Swampfox 05-31-2010, 03:49 PM Truck looks great.

315's on H2's will fit with the Cognito set at 4". You can look in my garage at my old truck and see it with the 4" and 315's. Larger tires do increase the temps some because of a little more weight/rolling resistance.
DURAtotheMAX 05-31-2010, 04:03 PM before I blew those pictures up it looked like your truck was in the snow.
of course now I can see its just sand...... :D
looks awesome, thats a similar setup to what we put on Jed's truck. Sent you a PM on mcrats site.
Ryan51 05-31-2010, 10:53 PM very nice looking ride, cognito' kits sure changes the way it sits

you wont be able to run the h2's on a cognito lift...not enough backspacing
truck looks good Nick
socal2ks 06-01-2010, 12:54 PM With cognito u can run h2's.
Kits like rcd and cst I don't think u can.

Sorry for the hijack Nick.
What part of my post did you not see? I ran H2's on the 7-9" and the 4-6" Cognito, so don't post unless you know the facts.
richard cheese 06-01-2010, 01:31 PM sorry...i thought NCN told me that my h2's wouldnt work on a cognito
Unit453 06-01-2010, 01:33 PM H2's are what, 17x8?
richard cheese 06-01-2010, 01:36 PM H2's are what, 17x8?
yep from what I remember, I could run the fronts with a spacer...but I didn't want to do that with the failure of the bearing already exacerbated by running bigger tires
CAUSEWAY!!! :D
I took pics of my truck there last week.
nice truck bud hopefully will see you around.
Unit453 06-01-2010, 02:03 PM Are we neighbors? I've been on this forum for a long time now. Didn't realize there were so many of us in Bradenton.
