So what's the verdict on those roof gizmos you put over the cab of your truck to deflect air up/over the 5ver? Their websites represents 2 mpg increase using them. Right? ;)

Has anyone used them with verifiable results? Appreciate the intel. JJ :)

Used them on my Big Trucks with mixed results.

With a head wind, helps over all performance/mileage, some.

Any other condition's, no difference.

Save money, buy beer or more toy's.

I have one. http://dieselplace.com/forum/showpost.php?p=19597&postcount=133[/IMG]On the Dmax pulling a high profile 5th wheel, it does little more than move the bug line up the trailer front cap. No noticeable change in fuel mileage or towing characteristics.

I moved this wing from my last truck. It was a 90 k2500 5.7L with 4.11 gears. The trailer it pulled was a mid-profile. It would run out of power at 65 MPH with any head wind or hill. On this setup, it made a very noticeable improvement. I didn't notice any better gas mileage but I could now pull the same head wind and hills with out slowing down.

Will the wing help some on a high profile trailer? Probably. I have it so I still use it. Just don't expect any significant improvements.

I have noticed a few guys using thier tailgates for caba air dam. They replaced hier tailgate with a vented fifth wheel gate and put thier tailgate up on the caba to deflect air looked pretty cool
