Im currently in the market for a new truck, I have a 7.3L ford PSD and cant decide on a new truck. Honestly i dont really tow or haul anything, this is pretty much going to be a play truck totally for modding out and racing my buds, there are a LOT of fast diesels where I live and i pretty much want a diesel that's gonna just plain haul ass, but still stay together (with proper mods of course). because of what im using it for im looking for one thats used, just because of all the mods i plan on doing to it.

I know being a GM-based forum there is some bias, but id just like to hear some opinions of what kind of diesel truck you'd get if you were in my position- Thanks!

I would get the Dmax. But there is probably more aftermarket stuff for the Cummins. I don't think I would look at Ford, but this is my opinion.

That's a loaded question. You'll get a few who will recommend Dodge or Ford, but not many. After owning my Chevy for a year now, if I had to do it again -- I would get a GMC - and I would get OnStar.

Most ask "what's the difference between Chevy and GMC?" Well, there are certain aftermarket items that are available for GMC that are not available for Chevy. For instance: Angel eyes HID headlights. The "new" Chevy headlights have been in production for about three model years now and they still don't make angel eyes (or a proper HID kit) for the Chevy. But GMC has had them for awhile.
