I had 2004 32' Sprinter since March this year. Total gross is 18,560#. Loaded for camping my truck grossed 10,100# and 5er was 8560# on axles. That is pin weight of 2260#.

My new 2006 36' Cedar Creek loaded and weighed today total gross is 20,780#. Total gross of my truck with Cedar Creek is 10,780#. That is pin weight of 2340#.

I can feel the extra ton in the weight of the 5er but it tows well.

Looks like you need to invest in some airbags for the rear end :)

Maybe it's just the way the pictures are but the front of your trailer looks awfully close to the back of the cab.

Nice rig by the way!

He has the Automatic slider for a hitch,, the distance should be fine,,,

" Total gross of my truck with Cedar Creek is 10,780#. That is pin weight of 2340#."

What is the GVW for your truck???

Oh I see, so that's what that huge assembly is.

The hitch is a PullRight slider. It works automatic. When the truck is in a turn the hitch senses the turn and automatically starts moving to the rear. At full 90 degree turn the hitch will move back 13".

The truck gvw is 9000#. I don't have air bags but use Timbrens. The load in the rear is carried fine. Truck also has front 2" lift kit. Truck sits level unloaded. That is what makes it look a little squatted in rear.

Couple of answers.

I have front lift kit and that is why truck looks high in back.

Truck GVW is 9000

Single a/c for now is doing OK. 5er has great insulation package. We have been inside several days with it over 90 and is going OK.

Automatic slider hitch will slide back 13 inches when it I turn toward either side. Plenty of room.

The Superglide hitch is real convienient, I looked at them pretty hard when I bought my current 5er. I would have had to get the 24K lb hitch, which is over 300lbs  to match the trailer weight. And it is HUGE. Looks like you have a nice setup for camping, enjoy. About the AC statement, I guess not everyone likes it to be 70* inside all the time, even when the door is opened alot.

We will be camping this weekend on the BlueRidge and for 2 weeks in Colorado in August. We will find out then if one is OK. If not we plan to add another. We are also looking at a satelite tracking system for the roof.

Are you thinking about the one that works while your in motion? If so, not very usefull in a 5er. I have the one that automatically finds the satelite when I park and hit "view". Problem with satellites on the roof, where I like to camp (and live) you need to search for a place where you can get a signal, most of the time it's not where I park.
