sounds as though there is some glitch in the monitor. You can try plugging it into your computer and seeing if it powers up. If so try an update. If it still doesn't work you can call Bully Dog and see if they can give you an RMA# to return it.

A few things that i would check (if you haven't already) is the fuse tapped for the key on power. This should give you 12v of power only when the key is on. Typically this is the IGNE fuse. Make sure that there is still power to your fuse tap. You can also connect this wire from the PMT directly to the positive battery terminal to test if the PMT is powering up. If the PMT is still powering up then you need to tap into a fuse that gives you 12volts when the key is on only.
Also, check your cigarette lighter fuse. This provides the power to the obd2 block.
You can also plug the PMT into the computer using the mini-usb. Check and see if it still powers up when plugged into a computer.
If that all looks good it definately could be defective hardware. Let me know if you were unable to get help through Bully Dog technical support, and i can try and help you get this resolved.

check to see if it powers via USB. if it does, its more then likely a hardware issue. call BD to get it RMAed

well i found the usb cable for it and it powers up when plugged into the computer. the cig lighter fuse is good, so it would probably be the wiring harness then right?

It could be the wiring harness, but it is likely something internal to the PMT head unit. Either way it sounds like it needs to be returned. PM me your contact information, and when to contact you and we can get this worked out. You can also just contact our technical support yourself and work out the RMA details.
