I have a 96 td 5sp o/d is getting noisy will a newer 6sp fit? and where mite I find one

The bellhousing bolt pattern is the same input shaft depth and everything sould be fine. It is going to be longer though so you will have to cut away more flor for the shift tower. Is it a 4x4? If it is you will want to make sure your t-case will bolt to it or maybe find a new one of those as well, also the u-joints are bigger I belive but I'm not sure on that one. You will also want to buy a 6 spd. throwout bearing because the input shaft is bigger and none of the 4500 stuff is going to fit(throwout bearing, clutch,). The 6 spd. uses a internal slave as well so you won't need a fork anymore. Good luck and keep us posted.
