Yesterday I was talking with a friend about timbren rubber cone. He said he never like timbren because once a while you could feel hitting axle. He suggested gets air bag like load lifter, firestone or hellwig. I dont know much about those air bag so I am going to ask for your input. What I understand that it is easy to install. I can drill a hole under the well bed then I can insert stem valve that way I can put air in rather than all the way to bumper.

They are easy to install at least in my '02. I put Load Rite bags on. They go were the bump stop are. I then ran the valves to each side of the license plate on the step part of the bumper. I use a bicycle pump to add air to the bags before I tow or before I need to haul something.

Best investment I ever made - a set of AirLift bags.

They completely smoothed out my previous battle-tank ride with about 20psi in them when empty and with our fiver hooked up and about 85psi they dramatically improved the ride towing as well, not to mention helping get things level again.

I use a 12 volt tire inflator to inflate mine (85 psi takes a lot of manual pumping otherwise) and it works fine. I put the valves at the drivers side of the cab mounted in my toolbox, but the air ride kit included enough line to put them anyhere you could want rear of the cab.

I'm considering the optional remote controlled pump AirLift also makes - a lot more convenient when inflating and deflating sometimes daily when towing/hooking/unhooking etc.

At least in my situation (different makes/models of truck will vary) I did have to drill 3 holes through the frame on each side for the upper mounts. A strong arm, a good drill, and a super sharp carbon bit are essential.
