Ford 550 owners are and have been BS into thinking there trucks are in the meduim duty class. All of us know 550s are 350s with a lot of great marketing. My qoute related to application. .. for instance my front axle on my 5500 is the largest ever offered in a production truck.. its application..550s with the same 350 pickup front axle is not a meduim duty axle. medium duty is the fourm and the discussion is a GM one not ford . a 650 real is a medium duty truck.. animal when you bought you truck and drove it home didnt you belevel you just got a REAL truck?? animal 07-09-2005, 08:00 PM roidman81 Yes i did for awhile ,after 98000 miles reality sits in ,the cabs are poorly made .The back inner wheel wells break and fall off ,the door panels split ,the engine wiring is poorly routed and covered and has worn thru.The air compresser is cheap junk,the removable wheel wells rattle and wear thru,and the worst of all we have light duty engines.and the truck is top heavy and handles poorly.The only person I blame is myself because I TRIED TO GET BY CHEAP. I asked a simple question and you guys are arguing about stupid st. You don't know what your talking about, I got twice the truck as a 350 and twice the worse ride. Just trying to make it a little smoother for my kids in the back of the crew cab and my 5er that the cabinets are falling off the walls. I know air ride is the best solution. Its 595dollars for pick ups,its a little higher for medium duty. Itworks on the same princable as a motor mount.Iam going to put the system in 2 weeks,Ill let you how it works out. animal 4500 | ||
