I would take a razor blade and scrape the remains off (gently as not to damage the chrome) then get your chrome polish out and polish the residue off

Idahofox, the key with using the razor was working with the stack cold. It scraped right off and the chrome polish took everything I could not get with the razor off.

I am really surpised this even happened.....it is just my luck. My stacks tucked away behind the cab and ferring. I could see this happening more to the W9s and Petes with how there stacks are out in the open. But then again I had the cat walk to stand on, instead of being 12' up on a ladder.;) Either way the problem is fixed and I hope it does not happen to anyone us again. :)
