Would like to permanently lower my truck for drag racing. I dont do much off roading.
thought of lowering the front end i.e torsion bars and then adding air bags to lwer the rear end. are there any other ways to lower our trucks.
how low can these trucks be lowered? wouldnt mind bout 2 to 5 inches. is that realistic.

3/5" drop is the most you can go if you have a 4x4. DJM I believe many people go with and love the results.
2" drop in the rear is easy--just get drop shackles. I did that on my '05 LLY. There's a before and after pic in my garage. The "after" pic is the one with the truck hooked up to my boat; the boat has very little tongue weight and didn't squat the truck at all so you can get an idea of how much a drop 2" is.
I've heard, but can't confirm, that you need to change the factory shocks if you do because they can bottom out if you do lower the rear. I swapped my shocks when I lowered it so I don't know if the stockers would've bottomed out or not.
