i'm going w/ a gravity feed, and I don’t want to buy the northern tool kit as I don’t want to use the float, and it’s a heck of a lot of money for a fitting and a hose. However, I can’t find all the brass fittings… would like to find them in 1 shop.

The ¾ x ¾ x 3/8 Tee seems to be the part I cant find,,, just need something to tap the vent hose, and was think 3/8th or ½ “ supply line.

I am no plumber, can someone help me?

Want to run:
Tank
90’elbow
manual ball valve
hose

hose
tee into OEM ¾” vent line.

Don’t really care what size the fill line is, but the valve is ¼” so the rest might as well be the same, but I think it will run better if we choke down the ¼”

Ok, someone fix this for me.

Thanks,

Go to the hardware store and talk to the old guy with gray hair. He'll have you fixed up in no time.... :)

this was quite to process. apparently I just needed a "real" hardware store, not a big box store.

Between the pluming, gas/ propane and water irrigation department I pieced it together.

could not do that on Jegs or lowes or fastinal or TSC. really surprised how hard that was.

ACE is the place for me.

Read all of my posts in that thread..got pics etc..hope it helps. I did basically what you want to do. PM me if you have questions after the read. Only difference is that I did not use the vent tube for a fill line. And I used a 1/2 x 1/2" Barbed Nipple (3/8" is too small and will take forever to drain), threaded into a 2" nipple straight into my main fill tube. As you will read, I did buy the N tools kits. PURE CRAP. Not worth a pinch of cat shit.!!

All fittings came from LOWES / HOME DEPOT. As for a 2" nipple...cut a 6" in Pce of 2" ABS pipe...rough it up with sandpaper. Drill a 7/16" hole and then tap with a 1/2' NPT tap. that is where your 1/2 X 1/2 barbed nipple goes. Use dble hose clamps to install in fill tube. No pressure there so no leakum.
Anyways..check it out

Cheers,

Theo
