What Is The Best Cat-back Or Turbo Back Exhaust System For '2005 Chevy 2500hd Durax? I've Been Edging Towards The "ansa Performance" Dual System As Their Claim Is To Make The Diesel Sounding Motors Like The Old Big Block Hot Rods! The Look Is Really Nice Too! Any Comments Are Greatly Appreciated!

Ansa Silverline makes a very nice looking system. They are a fairly new company to the diesel industry, but they have an excellent product line. MBRP also makes a dual system worth looking into. If you have any questions, give us a call as we carry both systems.

I'm running the MBRP 4" "cool duals" with 5" stainless tips that I bought from DPS. Oh yea, uh my dually is for off-roading ):h so I deleted the kitty as well. Nice deep throaty sound, get lots of looks when I put the pedal down. Only downside is you have two tips to clean versus one with a single. :D
MBRP consistently gets rave reviews on the DP. Never heard of the other brand. I like proven results and a great track record. JJ :)

SO how much are we talkin to purchase such items and how hard is the install... Better done by pros or if I can install nerf bars and bolt on airsprings I should be OK?

Drew- The systems are bolt-ons. If you can do nerf bars you can install an exhaust system. One pipe may need to be cut depending on your cab and bed configuration. Check our website for pricing or give us a call if you have any questions.

1badss,
Marketing can be pretty but the real world is if you drop the cat on an LLY it' will be louder than soem folks want to hear! The ANSA is a no cat compatible (unless you want to cut up your cat and weld it in) systems. The MBRP have the 4 bolt flange that allows you to keep the cat and or remove it with the optional front pipe with 5 bolts and one hanger. Plus on an LLY in a lot of cases if you remove the cat and install a free flowing system you'll get a check engine light from the EGR system. Fingers here on the site has a cure for that though if you want to contact him for it. Anyway call us if you have any questions we have been selling the MBRP longer than anyone in the US and have got any answers you might need.
