To remove the cover just take off the plastic nut right in the center and pull off the cover. Also, it's called the mid body electrical center.

I don't know as I don't have a GMT900 truck. Maybe, Diesail or Heymccall will chime in, or somebody else. Sorry I can't help you.

Sorry for the erroneous info, I didn't realize they changed the panel design on the nbs.

I don't have one here in front of me, but, IIRC, you defeat (hold out) the left and right ears, then simply pull the whole cover straight off, with that push pin remaining attached to the cover.

from the looks of it, it is a push in "pine tree" type button. they can be a MFr to get out. ooks like you've been at it pretty hard too. have you used 2 screw drivers t the same time; one on each side???

IIRC= If I Remember Correctly

Thanks 4 the MFr title to plug , got the 2 "big drivers" and only budged a bit ,this is nuts, I only wanted to find a 12v for my CB , guess i'll give up and not break anything ,and go to engine under hood fuse block for 12v.
I researched the site, and alot of posts for 12v hook ups pointed to the MBEC box, but no-one mentioned the difficult cover. When u mentioned "pine tree" do u mean i'm fighting something with cerations more like a "pine cone"?
thanks for info, tring to learn about my truck("space ship") gus.:confused:

Has anyone figured out to remove the MBEC cover on NBS? I need to remove the
MBEC cover on 2011 LML to find keyed +12V and this cover is not budging. HELP!

As I recall it is a pine-cone thingy. You have to yank it out before you can remove the cover. I know on my '08 the cover all but falls off. In fact it was in the console when I bought the truck and had to figure out where it belonged. I think at some point they decided it needed something more to keep it on.

Thanks diesail. That's what we did...grabbed the pinecone with a pair of
diagonal cutters and pulled it right out of there. Cover came right off. Problem
solved. Thanks again.
