My 05 LLY is using about a 1/2 of a qrt. or so at 6500 miles. Is there some wrong or what. I use Amzoil 15w40, pull a pontoon sometimes HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would bet that if you did a PCV reroute your oil consumtion will stop.

My LLY would not use a noticable amount of oil in 6500 miles, but when I make a 300 mile drive from TX to LA it will drink 1 qt. On the return trip, no oil usage???? After the PCV reroute, less than 1/2 qt every 10,000 miles. Full flow replace is 2 qts total every 10,000 miles.

My LLY just had the oil changed after 2 trips across the US and a bunch of in NV miles, about 9,000 or so. She was down about 1/8 inch on the dip stick. Has a little more than 69K miles on the clock.

Im sure you know but your pcv blows oil into your turbo mouth piece. I bet if you take it off you might find your oil. Half a crt at 6500 miles isnt bad enough to really worry about. I would definately keep an eye on it just incase it is somethin else. If you havent yet I would rerout your pcv.

I am very impressed with mine it doesnt swallow any oil or not enough to notice. The first diesel pickup yet to not use atleast a quart between oil changes. VERY pleased.

Now that I have the PCV reroute, the last couple of trips to LA (one pulling a tractor) no noticeable oil use. Only has 130k on the clock now and about 3800 hours.

I go 10k - 12k between oil changes with a 2004.5 LLY with 130k on the clock.

I never have to add oil between changes. PVC is not re-routed either.

You have some kind of mechanical issue.
