Hey ya'll. I had my Suncoast stage 3 installed last june or august by Eric out in grand rapids. It's been awesome, but I have been running stock ever since the winter and have not used any tunes. The transmission is still shifting roughly. Roughly as in lurching, sometimes I hear a bang, that's 5th gear. The rest of the time I don't hear it. It either smacks, slams or bumps. Tranny fluid level is fine. It's especially bad going from forward to reverse and that's when you nearly get the whiplash effect. WTF? I dont' know what the deal is...it could be that damn ball bearing and pen spring again...but I don't see how it would come loose again. I plan on heading back to Eric's in August to have him look at it so it can be fixed. I bet it's that but I hope it isn't something serious. But I'm not happy with the fact that it is taking so long to get it's act together. What could be the deal here?

Thanks

If it's shifting badly then you should give Eric a call and give him a shot at finding the problem and fixing it. Most upgrades will shift poorly if you do not reset the Tap cells on a fresh install if you had a worn transmission. I just install an upgrade yesterday and it took about 20 up/down shifts and everything is great now.

I would find someone local with a Tech 2 and scan for codes first in case of a bad sensor. If no codes, do a complete reset of the TAPS with Tech 2 ( long procedure doing each one individualy) and get the Ally in fast learn. It will be interesting to see which TAP cells are in fast learn if any. ( they should all be in slow learn at this point.

Not sure what I am gonna find in this one. I know Jon has had some crazy shifts in it though. When I did the initial build on it I fubared the small spring/check ball in one of the trim valves and it did all kinds of crazy stuff. Didnt know what was wrong till I pulled it back out and inspected, then found it. Reinstalled it correctly and installed and worked fine then. There is no way for it to fall back out or dislodge that I can think of once its assembled so I doubt thats the problem. Maybe one of the trim valves is hangin up or something...
