-:t Well the truck is starting to smoke like crazy again when it is idling in drive or reverse. It is real apparent right around when the temp of the truck hits 180degree's. I mean smoking bad, white smoke. I sit at a light and people are like:wtf1: . So now the truck will go in again for and injector failure! it was in there about two months ago for the same problem and they cleaned the injector and blamed it on a dirty fuel filter! That was before i knew all the problems with the injectors. Im not going to take any more bs from any of these Stealerships! I have it going in on monday to sunrise chevy in Glenn ellyn, IL. Also my miles per gallon have dropped a good amount! sicne i got the truck. the truck has 31000 miles on it. I jsut want it fixed. Anyone know of any dealers in my area that will not give me **** and will do the right thing and replace the injectors? Oh and on a side note a car shot a piece of sheet metal into my truck on the highway two days ago at 60mph. that left me having to get a new hood, windshield, grill and side panel. man this is a bad week.! sorry i just had to vent a little!       :help: :help: :help2: Censored Censored Censored Censored  :help: Censored  :help: :help:

At least you are getting all 8 changed. This should clear up the problem.
Good luck.

Ok I got a lingering Question (I guess thats what it's called?)
Anywho
I would like to see some data on the number of 2nd and 3rd replacements of the injectors. I have worked at a company (not automotive) where the owner was the boss and a very frugel guy. We would cut as many corners and stuff...Is it in the realm of possiblity that the dealerships are replacing the bad injectors and not all 7 keeping the 7 left as stock, the customer thinks all 8 were replaced GM fits the bill and no one is more wiser......except once the next injector goes bad it has to go in again for "injector replacement"? I know conspiracy theroy right?
I am in no way saying all dealerships or any for that matter or anything just a thought?
The old dealership in my hometown would be one to do this!
Maybe a reason for all of the 2nd and 3rd replacements of injectors?

mcrat, i thought that to but how was that guy in neb. able to sell on e***. i wonder if it sent flag to gm corp. but i would imagine they would be serial numbered especially with replacements going on, would have to explain to gm how dealer fixed truck. best
