Watersampler...I agree with you...The camper mirrors are not sufficient and safe and are a poor design. I went with Schefenacker Mirrors...web site is ttt-mirror.com. Mirrors to me are a safety item and critical as you depend on them often especially when trailering. The mirrors are on the expensive side, but I believe a good investment and I am very pleased. They are an easy install and they look stock on the truck...actually, better than stock. They are by far a much better mirror than is available from GM at the present moment. I understand that the '06's have a new design for the camper mirror but have not seen one yet.

TTT are the best, hands down. several vendors on the forum here carry them.

I'll second that on the TTT mirrors. I had the manual camping mirrors that came stock and also had the Lucerix mirrors. I installed the TTT and they provide excellent coverage when I tow the 5ver. The built in spot mirrors really cover the blind spots well.

TTT is the ticket and if the color black doesn't suite you to the tee. the reassembly after the painting will test the nerves of anyone like me taking casual notes during disassembly.

As these guys have said, the ttts are awesome :bigglasse . In my opinion the camper mirrors are a waste (but you might recoup some of the cost of the ttts by selling the camper mirrors on Ebay!).

If you have the power extending mirrors, you may want to look at www.multivexmirrors.com (http://www.multivexmirrors.com). They have overlay mirrors that provide twice the view of OEM. I got them and they are great. About $70.

Another vote for the Multivex mirror. I did the passenger side only. I posted more details on page 3 of the "spot mirrors" thread.
