I'm planning on upgrading the stock exhaust on my truck and would like some choices.

The only non-stock item is the Edge Juice w/Attitude.

Haven't run over setting 2 because of the stock exhaust and I have not installed the attitude. I'm just hitting 10k on the ODO and want to be sure there is no citrus smell mixed in with the new car smell. ;)

I have the Volant exhaust system. I got it on ebay for $570. It is 304 stainless 4" from the cat back and came with a built on 5" tip. Sounds excellent also.

Take a look at RBP. Big and fitment is great.

Take a look at the MBRP exhaust systems. They fit and finish is excellent as is the price. They come in either aluminized, T409 SS, or T304 SS. Check our website for pricing.

I'm running with a BANKS cat-back w/ MBRP front pipe. Wondering why I have both? Well at the beginning I thought of only doing cat-back. Then I wanted more. So a year and half later, I added the MBRP front pipe. So my suggestion to you is if you are thinking of doing the whole system, then do it all at once. Its cheaper than doing what I did. Here is mine:

If what your looking for is something with the noise levels of stock with no drone but with the EGT drop and power of an aftermarket system we've got what your looking for! The TTS SS catback system is less than $500 with a full system for less than $700

Thanks for the help guys.

What is the difference between the T304 and T409 MBRP besides the $300.

Mexico,

The 409 is the same material that your stock system is built from, it's good but will get spots and a gray/brown look to it over time as it's a magnetic stainless. The 304 contains a lot of nickel and chromium, hence the extra cost, and will basically stay shiny brite just like it does out of the box for years to come. If you need a system or have questions call us we have been selling MBRP since they built their 1st system and have tons of experience with them.

I rode in a new Powerstroke that had the muffler replaced with a straight pipe and he said that it had a cat on it. Would this be a good comparison to what my '05 Duramax would sound like with a straight pipe in place of the muffler?

TTS or Kennedy's get my vote! MBRP is good quality but just a little too loud for my tastes.

I was looking into getting a new exhaust for my 05 sierra 2500HD. A couple of people have recommended the Bully Dog system, but other than that I haven't heard too much about it. I just want a good exhaust that isn't too loud.

On the LLY the MBRP is anything but loud. Remove the cat with the optional front pipe and you get a low rumble, but definately wouldnt consider it loud. On the LB7 however, it is a bit loud at WOT.
