I just installed a Carter Push Pump inline and it is really loud. Do you think if I sprayed foam over it it would overheat? I'm just trying to quiet it down a little.

I wouldnt coat it, how is it mounted? If its bolted directly to the frame with no rubber washers or anything it will make it louder. It is a loud pump anyway though.....

Yes, it is very loud. Carter sells a "quiet kit" for it, but I haven't tried it. Should be listed with Summit.

It might work, it is possible the pump gets its cooling from the fuel...
