I hate my power extending mirrors, they have no pass. side convex, and the glass shakes with engine idle and going down the road. If I adjust the mirror glass a little bit, the shake goes away for a few minutes like it is taking up the slack in the work gear, but then comes right back. Took it to dealer and they told be that GM knows it is a problem, but has no fix for it. Any one else have this problem?
Sorry, my computer freaked out and posted this 3 times

I have had that problem since day one with my truck. Brought it to the dealer many times and they would be good for about a day and then back to shaking. I just live with it now. I figure at some point I'm going to buy the TTT mirrors, so I gave up on the factory ones.

Hell if I had only known that they were going to be that bad, I would not have ordered them with the truck, I would have gotten the power folding

Took mine to the stealer and he told me the added weight of the 2 inch convex I added is what made the glass come loose.

There was a post a few weeks ago where someone put some material behind the mirror to stop the shake.
I would avoid foam that absorbs water. Maybe something like those orange nylon pot cleaning pads would work. I had the problem with one of mine, but the dealer fixed it by replacing the mirror. It still shakes some, but not as bad.

I wonder about placing some sort of rubber band or something around the pivot point of the mirror until it tightens it up? Does that make sense? I did that one time on something similar and it worked. That way it could still adjust but would have some resistance.

Howdy friends,
I too have this same problem. Had it since day one, took it back to the dealer, they had it all day, said it was fixed, jumped in the truck started the engine, and BAM, it started shaking again. It's worse than the mirrors on my two harley's. I hope they come out with a fix. I extened the mirror all the way out, and then adjusted the mirror so I could look inside the housing. I noticed that where the mirror attaches to the thing that allows the adjusting, it was loose. I was thinking that some well placed super glue placed between the plastic backing of the mirror and the aluminum bracket may help. I'll try soon and let you all know.
By the way, I'm new here and I really like the forums.

Welcome to the place harleyike! My mirrors shake slightly. I have found that moving them slightly on way or the other helps tremendously. Also, if you have anything after market like a bug shield on the front, that can cause issues too. Anything that can cause air disruption on the front can add turbulance to the mirrors and add wind noise.
