Brought home our new fifth wheel yesterday and the truck did great! Dry weight on 5'er is around 7,500lbs with a dry pin weight of 1,600. Right now, its pretty much empty as we haven't loaded our "stuff" into yet. We're moving up from a popup, so we won't be adding much weight...at least until we can buy more stuff!
Rig sat nearly level and towed great. As y'all know, I'm sure, the tow haul mode is awesome! The way it shifted down as we slowed for red lights was too cool :ro)
Temps didn't run any higher than normal. Got right at 10mpg on the 45 mile tow with about 2/3 of it being run 60mph for a few miles, stop & go through a series of lights, run a few more miles, more lights. The last 20 miles was pretty open and was able to cruise at 65mph with no problem.
